Import Face Off
Thanks to my good friend, Monica Baccam for inviting me out to 'Import Face Off'. I had a blast getting close to imported cars, drag races, drifting, all dolled up to What The Hell is under the hood.
The most dressed up car to me was one design my Sideways auto salon. This Hand painted Subaru Koi Fish design took them 1200 hours. There was also some above decent drifters also but here are some of the ones that I think are awesome.

"The 360 Project"
“The 360 Project” is an exploration into the crossroads of photography and motion pictures. It is a study of peak dance movements, captured simultaneously by 48 cameras aligned in a circle.
There are two components to “The 360 Project” – “Ballet 360” features ballerinas from Canada’s National Ballet School, “Krump 360” features dancers from Northbuck Krump. The two styles of dance represent polemic perspectives in both technique and origin – one is beauty, the other beast.
The resulting images resemble a type of digital statue – a frozen, peak moment, embodying the essence of each dance form in 360 degrees.

BEFORE & AFTER
With Shante Hobbs with my Nikon D90, attached with my Tamron 24-105mm f2.8. This is my second shoot with this model and this Photo Shoot was extremely chill, as the music on blast, "Doing Time (TSP's Broken Watch Mix)" -by Garmisch.
Nevertheless, this concept/ look I was going for was a sexy Trooper look, but like one of the audience members on Chase Jarvis Live stated, "I freaked it". I had sent the a finish version to the model and, she exclaimed "Is that, me...?"

On my last shoot with the very talented model Ashley James, titled the "Bloody I Phone Edits". I had to make fake blood, so I still had some left over food coloring. As hunger strikes, my corky mood pushes through, and "I like Green Eggs and Ham, Sam I am..." Dr. Seuss quote arises in my head. I decided why not lets make some green eggs and ham, well there they are.

Bloody IPhone Edits
I recently release this photo, of the lovely Ashley James with editing done with the IPhone 4G. How? Well, with the constant uprise of Photo editing downloadable Apps for the IPhone, which there are free and for purchasable apps at your disposal. However, for this image in particular I used Camera+, Best Camera and Instagram.

Freedom of the Internet..!
Oppose to SOPA and PIPA because these bills would censor the Internet and slow economic growth in the U.S.
Two bills before Congress, known as the Protect IP Act (PIPA) in the Senate and the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) in the House, would censor the Web and impose harmful regulations on American business. Millions of Internet users and entrepreneurs already oppose SOPA and PIPA.
The Senate will begin voting on January 24th. Please let them know how you feel. Sign this petition urging Congress to vote NO on PIPA and SOPA before it is too late.

Members of Congress are trying to do the right thing by going after pirates and counterfeiters but SOPA and PIPA are the wrong way to do it.
1. SOPA and PIPA would censor the Web
The U.S. government could order the blocking of sites using methods similar to those employed by China. Among other things, search engines could be forced to delete entire websites from their search results. That’s why 41 human rights organizations and 110 prominent law professors have expressed grave concerns about the bills.
2. SOPA and PIPA would be job-killers because they would create a new era of uncertainty for American business
Law-abiding U.S. internet companies would have to monitor everything users link to or upload or face the risk of time-consuming litigation. That’s why AOL, EBay, Facebook, Google, LinkedIn, Mozilla, Twitter, Yahoo and Zynga wrote a letter to Congress saying these bills “pose a serious risk to our industry’s continued track record of innovation and job-creation.” It’s also why 55 of America’s most successful venture capitalists expressed concern that PIPA “would stifle investment in Internet services, throttle innovation, and hurt American competitiveness”. More than 204 entrepreneurs told Congress that PIPA and SOPA would “hurt economic growth and chill innovation”.
3. SOPA and PIPA wouldn’t stop piracy
To make matters worse, SOPA and PIPA won’t even work. The censorship regulations written into these bills won’t shut down pirate sites. These sites will just change their addresses and continue their criminal activities, while law-abiding companies will suffer high penalties for breaches they can’t possibly control.
There are effective ways to combat foreign “rogue” websites dedicated to copyright infringement and trademark counterfeiting, while preserving the innovation and dynamism that have made the Internet such an important driver of American economic growth and job creation. Congress should consider alternatives like the OPEN Act, which takes targeted and focused steps to cut off the money supply from foreign pirate sites without making US companies censor the Web.

Recently the thoughts and ideas in my head has a lot to deal with life, culture, and struggle. So I figured, why not make a connection between them all. With that in mind I set out to express myself in the best way I know how. The image above shows my inner thoughts about life and how our culture feels towards the struggle. Since we are all in the dark about it.
QUESTION
Do all your pictures have meaning to them?
ANSWER
Yes and No! I tend not to focus on a meaning behind a photograph but yet a story. Reason being, is that a story can branch off into various ideas and thoughts. Whereas, looking to shoot for a meaning would only make you think one thing, and not allow your mind to wonder.

She also went ahead and stated that "It is great to see a photo where the focus of the photo isn't distracted by the 'doctored up' look". I enjoyed that statement, since growing up with hearing a lot of old proverbs which have became to governed mostly all my decision making. "A little, goes a long way". I just don't understand, why photograph a person then make them look like they are painting on a canvas. Why not just Paint them...?

The Photo shoot with RJ de Jackson with my Nikon D90, attached with my trusted Tamron 17-50mm f2.8 I was ready. This Photo Shoot was extremely laid back, as there was music jamming in the background, "Let me buy you a drink" -by T.Pain.
Nevertheless, this concept/ look I was going for was a sexy geek. I had uploaded a sneak peek of this shoot and, another photographer stated that it was off topic on this series. He had suggested that it would have been better if I was to use smaller framed glasses. In response to that look, I interrupted more of a slutty geek (whoa there...!) than a sexy nerdy geek.

Backstage with Third Eye Blind

Yesterday I was blessed with a backstage pass for 3eB (Third Eye Blind) some fine print did follow, which they stated there has to be no flashes and, that I could of only been in the pit for three of there sounds. Small worries especially with todays DSLR and there advance usage of High ISO. They performed for a free show at The Switchyard in Carrollton, Texas. The image above is the band members of the Third Eye Blind live on stage as the play there tunes. With minimum chimping, I was basically in a "set it and forget"mode and was able to archive the image that you see here. As they say, "It's not what you know, but who you know". Why not have a balance of them both, my photography seems to be getting better due to my knowledge. Thus, working with more business minded people is becoming more simple like a breathe of fresh.

Morning Bike Ride
Equipped with my bike, backpack, Manfrotto tripod, and camera, I was ready to shoot. What?! I had no idea! As I was looking for something to shoot, I noticed the sprinkler on even though the morning dew still lingered on the leaves.
With The Rascals- Beautiful Morning song play in my head, I'd figured to venture off some more.
I came upon a open field with wild flowers. With my Tamron 24-105mm macro attached I thought to myself mmmm hmmmm macro shot. With that being said I was able to capture to two images you see below.

The Futuro House

Designed by Matti Suuronen, of which about 100 were manufactured during the late 1960s and early 1970s. The distinctive flying saucer like shape and airplane hatch entrance has made the houses popular among collectors. The Futuro House construct houses 8 people, which also includes a bathroom and kitchen. This Unfinished Futuro house is located near Rockwall, Texas. Due to it's integrated polyurethane insulation and electric heating system, the house could be heated to a comfortable temperature in only thirty minutes, from -20 to 60 degrees F.
An excerpt from a February 1970 copy of Architecture D’Aujourd’Hui describes “Futuro” as:
The first model in a series of holiday homes to be licensed in 50 countries, already mass-produced in the United States, Australia and Belgium. The segments of the elliptic envelope are assembled on the site using a metal footing. Through its shape and materials used, the house can be erected in very cold mountains or even by the sea. The area is 50 sq m, the volume 140 cubic m, divided by adaptable partitions.
By the mid 1970s the house was taken off the market, arguably due to poor marketing, but primarily due to the Oil Crisis where tripled gasoline prices made manufacture of plastic extremely expensive. It is estimated that today around 50 of the original Futuro homes survive, owned mostly by private individuals. The prototype is in the collection of Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
In 1998 Finnish film director Mika Taanila made a documentary film Futuro - A New Stance For Tomorrow about the Futuro house.

In my last Perfect Shot post, I said that
"Nightlife Photography isn't hard but it sure would make you feel like a mathematician. Remembering the right ISO with that works well with the shutter, F-stop and appropriate Flash speed".
So, I figured out why not check and see what a pop up flash can really do...?
Capturing nightlife photographs for the promotional company name Dallas Entourage at Kinki's Lounge in Dallas, Texas. It’s fitting to capture creative shots, rather than your typical snaps you normally see.
In order to achieve this image, my camera stands wouldn't be the typical neither. For this shot, I was practically standing on a three inch thick rail, holding onto the pole with one hand and in the other my camera, all to get above the Gogo girl. This shot followed the old saying "The Third time is a charm". The first capture she was looking away, and the second a random guy popped into the photo.
